OOOooOoooh yes, OC Hell indeed. I hate it when people write in Mary Sues, too, but mostly I hate it when they write in some original character that can kick any other character's ass and it's only meant to put themselves in their story because they think they are just soooooo great and everybody will love them when in reality the only reason they're even reading the story is to see the real characters and not some OC Author Put-In that carries around magical oranges and a shovel because they come from the land of Animal Crossing but they have a Santa hat and are a professional ping-pong player in their spare time, too and sometimes they have six thousand words' worth of snappy dialog when most people just skip over that or don't even read the story because it's being monopolized by whole chapters of back story for this OC because they author wants them to know everything about this new character when nobody cares and, and... Huff, huff...*deep breath* Bleeeeeeeeegh. That is my rant about OCs in general. Enjoy. |
